The invention provides a foldable flexible protection layer space debris protection device which comprises a motor (4), a coupler (5) and a speed reducer (6) which are installed on a body to be protected, a plurality of cam connecting rod mechanisms (1) connected with the motor, and a buffering folding mechanism (2) which is unfolded through transmission of a synchronous belt (17). The flexible composite protective layer (3) is used for preventing impact of space debris; each cam connecting rod mechanism (1) comprises a cam disc (9), a pressing device (7), a connecting rod (8) and a cam roller (10), the cam rollers (10) and the cam discs (9) are installed, and the cam rollers (10) slide in cam disc channels (12); one end of the buffer folding and unfolding mechanism (2) is connected with the cam roller (10), the other end of the buffer folding and unfolding mechanism (2) is connected with the flexible composite protective layer (3), and when the cam roller (10) slides in the cam disc channel (12), the buffer folding and unfolding mechanism (2) drives the flexible composite protective layer (3) to unfold or contract.
