The invention discloses a methanol lightering system of a methanol fuel ship, which comprises a methanol storage cabin, a methanol daily cabin, a vent pipe, a three-way joint, a return pipe and a methanol lightering pipe, the methanol daily cabin is arranged below the methanol storage cabin, one end of the vent pipe is connected with a vent hole at the upper end of the methanol storage cabin, and the other end of the vent pipe is connected with the three-way joint; one end of the ventilation pipe is connected with a first port of the three-way connector, one end of the backflow pipe is connected with a second port of the three-way connector, the other end of the backflow pipe is connected with a backflow port in the upper end of the methanol daily cabin, and one end of the methanol lightering pipe is connected with a lightering port in the lower end of the side face of the methanol storage cabin; the other end of the methanol lightering pipe is connected with a third port of a three-way joint; and the three-way joint is positioned on the upper side of the highest liquid level of the methanol storage cabin. Through the reasonable pipeline design, the problem of methanol flowing after the methanol lightering pump stops due to the siphon principle is solved, and the design cost is reduced on the whole.
