The pedal comprises a pedal shaft, a pedal body, a first clamping plate fixing component, a second clamping plate fixing component, a biasing structure and a force enhancing structure. The pedal body is rotatably disposed relative to the pedal shaft. The first cleat securing member pivots between a closed position and an open position. A second cleat fixing member is provided to the pedal body. The biasing structure applies a biasing force to the first cleat securing member to bias the first cleat securing member toward the closed position. The force enhancing structure increases a biasing force applied to the first cleat fixing member during at least one of a rolling operation of the cleat and a releasing operation of the cleat in an engaged state in which the cleat is engaged with the first cleat fixing member and the second cleat fixing member compared to the engaging operation.
