A tower elevator includes: a track module extending in a vertical direction; a carriage module configured to be movable along the track module by a magnetic suspension method; and a brake device configured to move integrally with the carriage module along the track module, where the brake device includes a first brake body and a second brake body, and a link unit, the first brake body and the second brake body are configured to selectively contact with the track module to prevent the carriage module from falling, and the link unit is configured to connect the first brake body to the second brake body, and the link unit transmits a force from one of the first brake body and the second brake body to the other of the first brake body and the second brake body.
