The invention relates to an ultrasonic icing detection device and an assembling method.The ultrasonic icing detection device comprises a shell, an acting layer assembly, a delay part and a signal collecting part, and the acting layer assembly is arranged in the shell and used for emitting ultrasonic waves; the delay piece is arranged on the side, close to the detection object, of the acting layer assembly and connected with the acting layer assembly, one end of the delay piece is connected with the shell, the other end of the delay piece penetrates through the outer surface of the detection object and is detachably connected with the detection object, and the end face of the end, connected with the detection object, of the delay piece is flush with the outer surface of the detection object; the signal acquisition part is arranged outside the shell and is used for receiving a first echo signal generated when the ultrasonic wave reaches one surface of the ice layer close to the delay part and a second echo signal generated when the ultrasonic wave reaches one surface of the ice layer far away from the delay part. Under the action of the delay piece, the accuracy of the finally obtained ice layer thickness can be improved.
