The second loop module comprises at least one emergency release sub-module; at least one load EPB motor; the load EPB motor is connected with the first loop module and the second loop module. In response to a fault of the first loop module and an emergency release signal received by the second loop module, the emergency release sub-module controls the first loop module and the load EPB motor to be in a cut-off state; and the emergency release sub-module controls the load EPB motor to execute a first mode. The electronic parking brake system can be suitable for a multi-motor use scene, the problems that mechanical emergency release is inconvenient to use in some specific use environments and has safety defects are solved, and intelligence, safety and reliability of products are improved.
