The invention relates to the technical field of vehicles, in particular to a protection method and device for a vehicle power battery, and the method comprises the steps: detecting whether a vehicle meets a preset stop condition or not; when it is detected that the vehicle meets the preset stop condition, the self-discharge rate range of the vehicle is obtained, and whether the self-discharge rate range is larger than a preset safety threshold value or not is judged; if the self-discharge rate range is larger than a preset safety threshold value, the power battery of the vehicle is controlled to enter a dormancy equalization mode, dormancy equalization duration or dormancy equalization current of the power battery is obtained according to the self-discharge rate range, and the power battery is controlled to conduct dormancy equalization according to the dormancy equalization duration or the dormancy equalization current. Therefore, the power battery is protected. Therefore, the problems that the balancing capacity of the vehicle is limited, the applicability of the balancing capacity is reduced and the service life of a power battery is shortened due to the fact that the balancing capacity is designed according to the fixed value set by referring to the self-discharge rate of the battery cell under the condition that the vehicle is in a static state in the related technology are solved.

    本申请涉及车辆技术领域,特别涉及一种车辆动力电池的保护方法及装置,其中,方法包括:检测车辆是否满足预设停驶条件;在检测到车辆满足预设停驶条件的情况下,获取车辆的自放电率极差,并判断自放电率极差是否大于预设安全阈值;若自放电率极差大于预设安全阈值,则控制车辆的动力电池进入休眠均衡模式,根据自放电率极差得到动力电池的休眠均衡时长或者休眠均衡电流,以按照休眠均衡时长或者休眠均衡电流控制动力电池进行休眠均衡,以对动力电池进行保护。由此,解决了相关技术中车辆为静态情况下,通过参考电芯的自放电率设置的定值进行设计均衡能力,导致车辆的均衡能力受限,降低了均衡能力的适用性,并且降低动力电池的使用寿命的问题。
