The invention belongs to the technical field of intelligent traffic, and particularly discloses a highway distributed microscopic traffic simulation method based on vehicle group decomposition, and the method comprises the steps: firstly, carrying out the configuration of simulation data and parameters in a simulation starting stage; decomposing all in-transit vehicles into a plurality of vehicle groups according to road network states and vehicle positions; secondly, the vehicle states of all the vehicle groups are synchronously updated through distributed simulation; and finally, judging whether the simulation is finished or not according to the simulation time. According to the method, a large-scale simulation task is divided into a plurality of small-scale simulation tasks through a vehicle group decomposition means, and synchronous calculation is carried out through distributed simulation, so that the simulation efficiency is improved, and the large-scale and high-complexity requirements of highway microscopic traffic simulation are met. And in addition, fine decomposition is carried out by considering the influence of weather factors and special vehicles in the vehicle group decomposition process, so that the authenticity and the accuracy of simulation are enhanced.
