The invention discloses a battery passive equalization control method. The method comprises the following steps: acquiring the monomer voltage of each monomer in a battery comprising a plurality of monomers; determining the equalizable capacity of each monomer according to the monomer voltage of each monomer, and carrying out passive equalization on the battery; determining the actual equilibrium capacity of each monomer; determining the residual equalization capacity of each monomer according to the equalizable capacity and the actual equalization capacity; judging that the residual equalization capacity of each monomer is within a preset range, if so, completing passive equalization, and stopping passive equalization; if not, the passive equalization is not completed, and the passive equalization is continued until the residual equalization capacity of each monomer is within the preset range; wherein the actual equalization capacity of the single monomer is determined by the change of the electric quantity of the single monomer in the first equalization time, the second equalization time and the third equalization time. According to the method, the residual equilibrium capacity is calculated more accurately.
