A track shoe (100) includes a ground engaging surface (104) and a track link engaging surface (106). An aperture (108) extends through the track shoe (100) from the ground engaging surface (104) to the track link engaging surface (106). The ground engaging surface (104) includes a first region (114, 114a) disposed adjacent to the hole (108), and a second region (116) extending from the first region (114, 114a) away from the hole (108), having a surface roughness different than the first surface roughness.
