The invention relates to a method for determining an intelligent preselection of a suitable charging station (1) for performing a charging stop and charging a traction battery (2) of an electrically drivable vehicle (3), in which method an indication of performing a charging stop at the suitable charging station (1) is output on the basis of at least one detected variable in the form of a vehicle demand, a user demand and/or an environmental factor. The invention is characterized in that the values of at least one vehicle demand, user demand, environmental factor and/or travel-specific factor different from the detected variable are estimated by analyzing and evaluating the detected variable, and the value of the at least one vehicle demand, user demand, environmental factor and/or travel-specific factor is estimated by comparing the demand and/or factor with at least one charging station-specific attribute. Based on the detected variable and the estimated value, at least one suitable charging station (1) is recommended for parking charging.
