The embodiment of the invention discloses a hybrid vehicle engine start-stop control method and device, and relates to the technical field of hybrid power systems. The hybrid vehicle engine start-stop control method comprises the steps that start-stop working conditions of a hybrid vehicle are determined; wherein the start-stop working condition comprises a start working condition and a stop working condition; if the start-stop working condition is a start working condition, controlling an engine and a motor according to a first damping control strategy; and if the start-stop working condition is the stop working condition, the engine and the motor are controlled according to a second damping control strategy. According to the scheme, the purpose of reducing acceleration vibration can be achieved, and the NVH quality in the starting and stopping processes is optimized.
