The invention relates to a method for producing a vulcanizable composite material, comprising the following steps: a) producing or providing a textile strength member, b) producing or providing a crosslinkable rubberized mixture comprising: i) at least one base rubber; the present invention relates to a vulcanizable composite material comprising i) at least one crosslinkable rubberized mixture selected from the group consisting of ethylene-propylene-diene rubber and butyl rubber, and ii) at least one aging stabilizer selected from the group consisting of p-phenylenediamine, dihydroquinoline, phenyl naphthylamine, substituted phenol and substituted bisphenol, and c) introducing the fabric strength member into the crosslinkable rubberized mixture to obtain the vulcanizable composite material, wherein the cross-linkable rubberized mixture can be treated by vulcanization to obtain a cross-linked rubberized mixture that is at least partially transmissive to visible light at least in sections.
