A track wheel based apparatus is disclosed. The track wheel-based device may include a longitudinal member substantially perpendicular to an axis of motion of the track wheel-based device. The track-wheel-based device may also include a first cross-member and a second cross-member, each cross-member being substantially parallel to an axis of motion of the track-wheel-based device. The longitudinal member may be coupled to the first cross member in a first position of the first cross member and to the second cross member in a first position of the second cross member. The first cross member and the second cross member may be configured to perform relative angular rotation in response to planar misalignment of four or more contact points between two or more guide rails for the track wheel-based device and the track wheel-based device.
