The invention relates to a nest system and method for assisting landing of an unmanned aerial vehicle based on binocular vision. The nest system for assisting landing of the unmanned aerial vehicle based on binocular vision comprises a binocular camera sensor, an image processor and a data transmission module. The binocular camera sensor is arranged at the central position of a nest where the unmanned aerial vehicle is about to land, and a lens of the binocular camera sensor is arranged upwards; the binocular camera sensor is used for collecting image information and distance information above a nest of the unmanned aerial vehicle to be landed; the image processor is used for processing the image information and the distance information collected by the binocular camera sensor so as to obtain three-dimensional position information of the unmanned aerial vehicle in the collected image; and the data transmission module is used for transmitting the three-dimensional position information to a flight control system of the unmanned aerial vehicle. According to the invention, the problem of precise landing of the unmanned aerial vehicle under the condition of not influencing the endurance time can be solved.
