In the forward stroke, the piston (5) squeezes the brake fluid into the brake fluid reservoir (10) through the subsequently opened connection valve (9). Air that may be contained in the cylinder (8) is displaced from the cylinder (8) with the brake fluid and is discharged from the brake fluid in a brake fluid reservoir (10).
