The invention discloses a vehicle electric quantity control method and device, equipment and a storage medium, and belongs to the technical field of vehicle control. The method comprises the steps that the SOC of a power battery of the vehicle is obtained, wherein the SOC of the power battery is the percentage of the remaining electric quantity of the power battery in the total electric quantity; obtaining an electric quantity control mode of the vehicle, wherein the electric quantity control mode comprises a default mode, a long-distance driving mode, a power-saving mode or a charging mode; and the working state of an engine of the vehicle is determined according to the SOC of the power battery and the electric quantity control mode, wherein the working state of the engine comprises charging of the engine or stopping of charging of the engine. And according to the SOC of the power battery and the electric quantity control mode, determining whether to charge the power battery through the engine or not and how to charge the power battery through the engine. The fuel economy is guaranteed while the dynamic property of the hybrid power vehicle is guaranteed, the electric quantity of the power battery is kept within the normal range, and the vehicle is prevented from being lack of electricity.
