The invention provides a vehicle anti-theft system and a vehicle anti-theft method. The vehicle anti-theft system comprises a master node arranged on a vehicle and at least two groups of slave nodes in communication connection with the master node. Each group of slave nodes includes two or more slave nodes. The master node is configured to generate an unlock request upon receiving an unlock signal from an external node of the vehicle via a keyless entry and start system of the vehicle. At least one slave node in the at least one group of slave nodes is configured to generate a challenge message after receiving an unlocking request from the master node, and execute unlocking security verification after the at least one slave node receives a response message corresponding to the challenge message; and under the condition that the unlocking security verification is passed, taking the at least one slave node as a new master node, and carrying out the unlocking security verification on the at least one slave node and other slave nodes in the group of slave nodes.
