The invention discloses an electric vehicle thermal runaway early warning method based on an independent monitoring chip, which comprises the following steps: monitoring the voltage and temperature of a vehicle battery in a dormant state by adopting the independent monitoring chip, performing awakening control on a BMS (Battery Management System) based on the monitored voltage and temperature data, and performing a thermal runaway monitoring strategy after the BMS is awakened; wherein the independent monitoring chip has an integrated sleep mode voltage and temperature monitoring function. The battery thermal runaway monitoring system has the advantages that thermal runaway monitoring is more accurate, thermal runaway monitoring can be carried out in the dormant state of the BMS and the like without timing starting of the BMS, a series of defects caused by frequent starting of the BMS in the prior art are reduced, the independent chip MC33771 is adopted for real-time monitoring in the dormant state of the electric automobile, and the reliable and accurate early warning function of battery thermal runaway can be achieved.

    本发明公开了一种基于独立监控芯片的电动汽车热失控预警方法,包括采用独立监控芯片对休眠状态下的车辆电池的电压和温度进行监控,并基于监控的电压和温度数据对BMS进行唤醒控制,由BMS在唤醒后进行热失控监控策略;其中独立监控芯片具有集成睡眠模式电压和温度监测功能。本发明的优点在于:热失控监控更准确,在BMS等休眠状态下也可以进行热失控监控而不需要BMS定时启动,减少了现有技术BMS频繁启动产生的一些列缺陷,采用独立芯片MC33771在电动汽车休眠状态下实时监控,可以做到对电池热失控的可靠准确预警功能。
