A brake caliper (1) for a disc brake (2), said brake caliper (1) being adapted to be arranged across a brake band (3) of a brake disc (4) having at least one first brake surface (5) and at least one second brake surface (6) arranged opposite one another; the disc (4) defines: an axial direction (A-A) parallel to the axis of rotation (a-a) of the brake disc (4); a circumferential direction (C-C) parallel to one of the braking surfaces (5, 6) and orthogonal to the axial direction (A-A); and a radial direction (R-R) orthogonal to said axial direction (A-A) and orthogonal to the circumferential direction (C-C) defining an outer radial orientation (RO) when facing away from the axis of rotation (a-a) of the brake disc (4); the brake caliper (1) comprises a caliper body (7); the caliper body (7) comprises a first caliper body portion (8) adapted to face the first braking surface (5); said caliper body (7) comprising a second caliper body portion (9) adapted to face a second braking surface (6); the caliper body (7) comprises at least one bridge (10) connecting the first caliper body part (8) to the second caliper body part (9); the caliper body (7) comprises an outer caliper body surface (11) arranged opposite the brake band (3), i.e. Facing away from the brake band (3); at least one of said first caliper body portion (8) and said second caliper body portion (9) houses a pushing element (12) adapted to urge at least one pad (13, 14) against at least one of said first braking surface (5) or said second braking surface (6); wherein at least one light sheet (15) protrudes in an overhanging manner from at least a portion of the outer caliper body surface (11); wherein said light sheet (15) comprises:-at least one plate (16) made of a transparent or translucent material, the plate having at least two opposite plate surfaces (17, 18) and a plate edge (19) joining said plate surfaces (17, 18); -said plate (16) comprising a predetermined plate thickness portion (20) adapted to pass through at least one optical radiation; -said plate comprising at least one side edge (21) directed towards said caliper body; -said light sheet (15) further comprising at least one lighting body (22); -wherein the lighting body (22) comprises at least one light source (23, 36); the lighting body (22) is associated with the side edge (21) facing the caliper body such that the lighting body transmits the light radiation of the lighting body into the plate thickness (20) when activated; the caliper body (7) has opposite plate surfaces (17, 18) such that the light radiation or a part of the light radiation is distributed through the opposite plate surfaces (17, 18) and/or through a plate edge (19) facing the outside of the caliper body (7).
