The invention discloses a tooth-shaped part of an automobile steering system and a manufacturing method thereof.The tooth-shaped part of the automobile steering system comprises a part body, the part body is tubular, a through hole coaxial with the central axis of the part body is formed in the part body, the outer side face of the part body is provided with a polished rod part and a tooth-shaped part which are connected, the surface of the polished rod part is smooth, and the surface of the tooth-shaped part is smooth; teeth extending in the axial direction of the part body are arranged on the surface of the tooth-shaped part; the tooth profile width of the teeth is gradually increased from inside to outside in the radial direction of the part body. According to the method, a traditional CNC cutting technology is replaced with a cold forging technology, the machining efficiency during mass production is improved, compared with the cutting technology and the cold forging technology, the loss of raw materials is less, therefore, production materials can be saved, and the production cost is reduced. The invention relates to the technical field of automobile manufacturing.
