A data analysis system includes artificial intelligence of a machine learning type. Training of artificial intelligence of the machine learning type is effected by means of reference data, with a first classification operation (212) for training to detect a potential fault experienced by the integrated drive generator and a second classification operation (215) for training to determine a cause of the fault (in related cases). After in-production use, the data analysis system collects data to be analyzed relating to measurements made and recorded during flight of an aircraft including an integrated drive generator to be monitored, and uses artificial intelligence of the machine learning type to predict a potential fault, and in relevant cases, uses the data to be analyzed to predict its cause.
