The invention provides a method for reducing harassment alarms of a terrain awareness and warning system (TAWS). The method comprises the steps that an air collision avoidance system (TCAS) is used for recognizing whether other aircrafts exist in a first range in the horizontal direction of the aircraft and a second range below the aircraft or not; generating a first signal in response to identifying that other aircrafts exist in a first range in the horizontal direction of the aircraft and a second range below the aircraft; and providing the first signal to the TAWS to inhibit the TAWS from sending an alarm signal. In addition, the invention further provides a corresponding device. According to the invention, the disturbance alarm of the TAWS GPWS mode 2 can be effectively inhibited under the condition that the radio height jumps due to the passing of an aircraft below.
