The invention comprises a monomer balancing method. The monomer balancing method comprises the following steps: regularly acquiring battery information including current, voltage and temperature of a battery; determining whether the cell balancing is necessary by using the battery information; upon determining that the cell balancing is necessary, turning on a cell balancing switch at an initial duty cycle and implementing an initial cell balancing mode; determining whether a duty cycle of the cell balancing switch needs to be changed by using the acquired battery information after the cell balancing starts; when it is determined that the duty ratio of the single balance switch needs to be changed, the duty ratio of the single balance switch is increased by a preset range; determining whether to continue the cell balancing using the acquired battery information; upon determining that the cell balancing is to be continued and the number of cell balancing cycles exceeds a predetermined reference number of cell balancing cycles, increasing a number of diagnostic counts; and changing the cell balance mode and returning to the cell balance switch duty cycle change determination step when the number of the counted diagnostic counts is less than or equal to a predetermined reference number of the diagnostic counts.
