The invention relates to the field of hydrological detection technologies, in particular to a hydrological water quality detection method and system, an intelligent terminal and water quality detection equipment, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining a water surface top view image and a river water flow direction of a detection area in a river; performing analysis based on the water surface top view image and preset water bank features to determine the area of the detection region; performing analysis based on the area of the detection region and a preset position planning method to determine a detection position; performing analysis based on the river water flow direction and the detection position to determine a downstream movement path; and indicating the unmanned ship to move along the downstream moving path so as to place the water quality detection equipment at the detection position for water quality parameter measurement. The method has the effect that the unmanned ship can conveniently detect the detection parameters capable of well reflecting the water quality condition of the whole water area.
