A charging system includes a charging station having an input configured to receive power of a first type, and a power converter connected to the input. The power converter is configured to convert a first type of power from the input to a second type of power different from the first type of power, the second type of power including DC power. The charging station has outputs connected to the power converter, the outputs being configured such that DC power can be simultaneously provided to each of the outputs. Each of the outputs is configured to be connected to a respective electric vehicle to charge the electric vehicle.
