The invention discloses adaptive cruise control using future trajectory prediction for autonomous systems. In various examples, techniques are described for adaptive cruise control (ACC) using future trajectory prediction. For example, a vehicle may determine one or more future paths of the vehicle and one or more future paths of one or more objects. The vehicle may then determine one or more trajectories of the vehicle using the one or more speed profiles and the one or more future paths. The vehicle may then select a trajectory, such as based on one or more future paths of one or more objects. Based on the trajectory, the ACC of the vehicle may cause the vehicle to travel at a speed or rate. In this way, the vehicle can continue to use the ACC even when the driver makes one or more maneuvers or the determination system makes maneuvers, such as switching lanes or selecting lanes when the road is bifurcated.
