The pivot drive unit (5) generates a lift force necessary for a vertical flight movement of the aircraft (1) in the vertical flight position and a propulsive force necessary for a horizontal flight movement of the aircraft (1) in the horizontal flight position. At least one vertical drive unit (6) is rigidly arranged on each wing (3) in a vertical flight position.
