The invention discloses a method for safely degrading internal communication faults of a full-redundancy electric power steering system, the full-redundancy electric power steering system comprises a main path system, an auxiliary path system and a six-phase motor, and the main path system and the auxiliary path system respectively control three phases of the six-phase motor; the main path system and the auxiliary path system carry out real-time information interaction through six communication channels, the communication channels comprise a UART serial port communication channel, a private CAN communication channel and a PWM communication channel, the UART serial port communication channel, the private CAN communication channel and the PWM communication channel are respectively divided into a TX channel and an RX channel, the TX channel is a sending channel, and the RX channel is a receiving channel; the full-redundancy electric power steering system controls the change of the working mode of the full-redundancy electric power steering system according to the faults of the six different communication channels; the working modes comprise a mode 0, a mode 1, a mode 2, a mode 3, a mode 4 and a mode 5 in sequence from high to low.
