The invention discloses a hanging soft landing air-drop system and method, and relates to the field of air-drop. The hanging soft landing air-drop system comprises an air-drop platform, at least four pivot support pulleys, slings corresponding to the pivot support pulleys, a rotatable traction cylinder, a motor driving the traction cylinder to rotate, a rod type trigger detecting the height of the air-drop platform, a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor, wherein the pressure sensor and the temperature sensor are used for detecting the air pressure and the air temperature. The controller and the parachute are electrically connected with the rod type trigger, the motor, the pressure sensor and the temperature sensor respectively, the four corners of the air-drop platform are connected with at least one rotatable pivot support pulley respectively, one end of each sling is wound on the traction cylinder, and the other end of each sling penetrates through the corresponding pivot support pulley and then is connected with the parachute. The controller is used for receiving air pressure, air temperature and height data and controlling the motor to drive the traction cylinder to rotate and wind the sling. The suspended soft landing air-drop system can greatly reduce non-combat loss caused by damage of goods or vehicle equipment due to overhigh impact speed during air-drop landing.
