The invention provides a speed adjusting method and device and a mobile carrier, and the method can comprise the steps: determining a first speed according to a first opening signal and a current speed when the mobile carrier is in an automatic driving state and a first opening signal of an accelerator pedal of the mobile carrier is detected; and controlling the mobile carrier to cruise at the first speed when a first operation for a speed control component of the mobile carrier is detected. The method provided by the invention can be applied to mobile carriers capable of cruising, such as new energy vehicles and intelligent vehicles, and can provide a more convenient method for setting the cruising speed for a driver, so that when the driver sets the cruising speed, redundant operation is not needed, and the passing efficiency and the driving safety can be improved.
