The invention provides a safe electricity utilization method and device, the method is applied to an automobile, and the method comprises the steps that under the condition that the automobile supplies power to external equipment, the surrounding environment of the automobile is shot through a camera assembled on the automobile; determining whether a distance between a preset object and the external equipment is smaller than a preset safety distance or not according to the shot image data; and under the condition that the distance between the preset object and the external equipment is smaller than the preset safety distance, stopping supplying power to the external equipment or reducing the provided voltage to a safety voltage.
