The control method comprises the steps that the first refrigerant concentration in the upwind direction and the second refrigerant concentration in the downwind direction of an evaporator are detected; calculating the concentration increment of the refrigerant in the automobile passenger compartment; detecting the air volume of an air blower, and calculating the volume of air entering the automobile passenger compartment within the preset time period based on the air volume of the air blower; based on the air volume and the concentration increment of the refrigerant in the automobile passenger compartment, the refrigerant leakage amount in the preset time period is calculated, then the annual refrigerant leakage amount is calculated, the annual leakage amount is compared with a preset leakage amount threshold value, and a corresponding control signal is output according to the comparison result. Therefore, an automobile alarm system and a ventilation system are reminded to perform corresponding control actions. The refrigerant leakage amount can be accurately calculated, the severity degree of leakage is judged, corresponding control actions are implemented according to the severity degree, and harm caused by refrigerant leakage is avoided.
