The invention provides a vehicle-road cooperation data sensing method and system based on an edge computing gateway, and the method comprises the steps: collecting road information through the edge computing gateway, and obtaining vehicle blind compensation information according to the road information; generating a vehicle-road cooperation application according to the vehicle blind compensation information; and issuing the vehicle-road cooperation application to the vehicle. The intelligent road has a traffic monitoring solution driven by artificial intelligence, vehicles, pedestrians and people riding bicycles can be detected, and safe driving is achieved. The edge computing gateway is used for collecting road information, blind areas can be complemented for the automatic driving automobile, the edge computing gateway transfers the burden of data processing from the cloud end to the equipment end, and the delay and cost of data transmission are reduced.
