The invention discloses a traffic control method, device and equipment for an expressway confluence area and a medium. The method comprises the following steps: establishing a microscopic simulation environment of a target expressway confluence area according to an actual road structure and historical traffic data of the target expressway confluence area; constructing a state space, a joint action space and a reward function; based on a microscopic simulation environment, according to the state space, the joint action space and the reward function, reinforcement learning is carried out on the initial cooperative control model of the target expressway confluence area, and a target cooperative control model is determined; and based on the target cooperative control model, according to the obtained real-time traffic flow density of the target expressway confluence area, the real-time permeability of the intelligent network connection vehicle and the target weight coefficient, determining a target speed limit value of the variable speed limit area and a target passing time length in a signal lamp period of the entrance ramp. According to the technical scheme, by controlling the variable speed limit and the ramps, the traffic pressure of the expressway confluence area is reduced, and the passing efficiency of the expressway confluence area is improved.
