The method comprises the following steps: establishing an optimization objective function according to the battery power consumption of a power battery and the comfort level of a cabin; wherein the cabin comfort is a difference value between the cabin temperature and the reference temperature; establishing a state equation of the state variables according to an energy balance equation of the cabin; wherein the state variable is the cabin temperature, and the control variables of the state variable are the rotating speed of a compressor and the power of a heater in the heat pump air conditioning system; establishing a nonlinear planning equation of the state variable and the control variable according to the optimized objective function and the state equation; and solving the nonlinear programming equation by adopting a sequential quadratic programming algorithm to obtain an optimal solution of the control variable so as to perform thermal management on the electric vehicle according to the optimal solution of the control variable. According to the technical scheme, the power consumption of the battery is small, the user experience is good, the service life of the battery is prolonged, and heat management control can be better carried out.
