According to the intelligent tilting control method for the railway vehicle, a tilting controller calculates a tilting angle beta e and a tilting height difference he as tilting expected values required by a vehicle body according to a calculation formula of a tilting angle beta and a tilting height difference h and in combination with a preset range of the tilting angle; the real-time tilting angle beta 1 and the tilting height difference h1 of the vehicle body are calculated according to the real-time signal transmitted by the height sensor to serve as tilting feedback values, and a tilting control signal is analyzed and calculated according to the tilting expected value and the tilting feedback values and transmitted to the electromagnetic valve executing mechanism; and the electromagnetic valve actuating mechanism drives the air spring to adjust the height to adjust the tilting angle and the tilting height difference of the vehicle body to a tilting expected value according to a tilting control signal received by the electromagnetic valve actuating mechanism. Accuracy, reliability and safety of active tilting control when the train passes through the curve are improved, the types and the number of sensors are reduced, and cost is reduced. The invention further provides an intelligent tilting control system for the railway vehicle.
