The invention provides a step braking distance measuring device of a passenger conveyor and a method thereof. The step braking distance measuring device (100) comprises a measuring part (120) which is configured at a base point (O) at a position higher than a step (30), measures a first angle (theta1) formed by a first line (S1) connecting a first position (P1) and the base point and a vertical line (R) from the base point, and measures a second angle (theta2) formed by a second line (S2) connecting a second position (P2) and the base point and the vertical line (R), the first position is the position of the reflecting plate (304) of the reference step (30) when the stop signal is output, and the second position is the position of the reflecting plate of the stopped reference step; and a calculation unit (118) for calculating the braking distance (L) of the reference step on the basis of the first angle (theta1), the second angle (theta2), and the length (h) of a vertical line (R) from the base point to the height of the reference step.

    本发明提供乘客输送机的梯级制动距离测定装置及其方法。梯级制动距离测定装置(100)具有:计测部(120),配置于处于比梯级(30)高的位置的基点(O),测定连结第1位置(P1)和基点的第1线(S1)与从基点起的垂线(R)所成的第1角度(θ1),并测定连结第2位置(P2)和基点的第2线(S2)与垂线(R)所成的第2角度(θ2),该第1位置是停止信号被输出了时的基准梯级(30)的反射板(304)的位置,该第2位置是停止了的基准梯级的反射板的位置;和运算部(118),根据第1角度(θ1)、第2角度(θ2)及从基点到基准梯级所处的高度为止的垂线(R)的长度(h),算出基准梯级的制动距离(L)。
