The invention belongs to the technical field of cosmic sailing, and relates to a satellite with an electrostatic electric propulsion system, the satellite comprises a body and one or more propulsion systems, at least one propulsion system adopts an inertial electrostatic confinement ion thruster, and the inertial electrostatic confinement ion thruster comprises an air supply device; the magnetic conductive device comprises an electromagnetic coil and a magnetic conductive spray pipe; the anode is a spherical shell; the whole body of the cathode is in a cage shape, and the cathode is provided with a first connector connected with the air supply device and a second connector connected with the magnetic conductive spray pipe; the cathode is contained in the anode, and the gas supply device is used for guiding gas located outside the anode into the cathode; and one part of the magnetic conductive spray pipe is positioned outside the anode. According to the invention, a brand-new ionization mode of inertial electrostatic constraint is adopted, and the attitude and orbit of the satellite can be adjusted.
