An inflatable structure includes a top end cap, a bottom end cap, an airbag attached to the top end cap and the bottom end cap and configured to retain pressurized air therebetween, and a plurality of tethers disposed within the airbag, each tether of the plurality of tethers having a first end connected to the top end cap and a second end connected to the bottom end cap, where when the airbag is inflated, the tethers are coupled to the top end cap and the bottom end cap. The airbags axially expand forcing the top end cap and the bottom end cap away from each other, the plurality of tethers are adapted to limit movement of the top end cap and the bottom end cap away from each other and to limit axial expansion of the airbags, where at least one of the plurality of airbags is resilient, and the inflatable structure is adapted to provide a plurality of support profiles capable of supporting a compressive load.
