Techniques for determining range of an electric vehicle are described. The sensor provides a signal indicative of a current supplied by a battery of the electric vehicle to a motor of the electric vehicle. A controller receives the signal and determines the current supplied by the battery. The controller also receives the voltage supplied by the battery and determines a theoretical distance traveled by the electric vehicle. Based on the voltage, the current, and the theoretical distance, the controller determines a mileage of the electric vehicle.
