According to the method, through the vehicle-road cooperative sensing and communication equipment, when the main vehicle enters the intersection, whether the collision risk exists when the opposite vehicle enters the intersection is judged, if the risk exists, collision early warning information is sent out according to vehicle information, and meanwhile, the main vehicle automatically starts an optimal collision avoidance deceleration scheme until the main vehicle safely passes through the intersection. According to the method, real-time monitoring road information is fully utilized, and an optimal collision avoidance scheme is calculated, so that collision avoidance actions are taken in advance, collision and emergency braking conditions are avoided, and the safety of left-turn passing is improved; according to the optimal collision avoidance scheme, parking waiting is not needed, the left-turn passing efficiency and the driving experience of passengers are improved, and automatic processing can be further applied to L3, L4 and other high-level automatic driving.
