The present disclosure generally relates to a hybrid electric vehicle, a control method thereof, and a computer-readable recording medium. A method of controlling a hybrid electric vehicle is presented. Specifically, the method includes connecting a first electric machine directly connected to an engine with a second electric machine directly connected to an input of a transmission, and determining whether to distribute an error torque amount of the engine to the first electric machine or each of the first electric machine and the second electric machine based on an efficiency of the first electric machine and an efficiency of the second electric machine.
