The invention discloses a method for controlling the hovering of an aircraft around airflow and the aircraft, and the method comprises the following steps: S1, obtaining the rising acceleration of the aircraft; s2, judging whether a cyclone capable of allowing the aircraft to fly around exists or not according to the rising acceleration of the aircraft; s3, obtaining the state of the aileron of the aircraft; s4, adjusting the course according to the state of the aileron; and S5, the circling radius is adjusted. According to the invention, the cruising ability of the fixed wing or flapping wing type unmanned aerial vehicle can be improved by utilizing the energy of the upflow in the cyclone.
