The invention discloses an automobile collision switch detection logic and model based on Simulink, which is used for detecting an automobile collision output signal, so that an automobile control unit can quickly and correctly detect whether collision occurs or whether the signal fails. According to the algorithm logic setting, under the normal condition, a collision output signal keeps cyclic change from 80ms high level to 20ms low level and is a pulse width modulation signal with the duty ratio being 80%; when collision occurs, the safety air bag is ignited; starting from the ignition moment, the collision output signal continuously sends at least 10 PWM signals with the duty ratio being 20%; if the signal precision is a%, when the automobile control unit continuously detects that the collision output signal has 2-3 pulse width modulation signals with the duty ratio of (20-a)%-(20 + a)%, it is considered that collision occurs; and when continuously detecting that the duty ratios of 2-3 signals are not in the range of (80-a)%-(80 + a)% or (20-a)%-(20 + a)%, considering that the collision output signal has a fault.
