The invention discloses a photovoltaic charging device for a new energy automobile and a charging method thereof, and belongs to the technical field of photovoltaic charging for automobiles. The photovoltaic charging device comprises a vehicle body and a photovoltaic charging mechanism fixed to the top end of the vehicle body and electrically connected with the vehicle body. The photovoltaic charging mechanism comprises a folding type photovoltaic assembly, a flattening unit and a lifting unit, wherein the flattening unit is used for driving the folding type photovoltaic assembly to be folded into a wave shape when the vehicle is ignited and to be flattened into a straight shape after the vehicle flames out, and the lifting unit is used for enabling the folding type photovoltaic assembly to fall when the vehicle is ignited and to rise after the vehicle flames out. According to the photovoltaic charging device for the new energy automobile and the charging method of the photovoltaic charging device, by arranging the vehicle-mounted photovoltaic charging mechanism, the problem that charging is limited due to the fact that the charging position is fixed is solved, meanwhile, the folding type photovoltaic assembly is arranged and can be unfolded after flameout, the photovoltaic utilization rate is increased, and the photovoltaic charging device is folded after ignition; and the influence on the driving process is reduced.

    本发明公开了一种新能源汽车用光伏充电装置及其充电方法,汽车用光伏充电技术领域,包括车辆本体和固定于车辆本体顶端且与车辆本体电性连接的光伏充电机构,光伏充电机构包括折叠式光伏组件、用于驱动折叠式光伏组件在车辆点火时折叠成波浪形并在车辆熄火后展成平直形的展平单元以及用于使得折叠式光伏组件在车辆点火时降落并在车辆熄火后升起的升降单元。本发明采用上述新能源汽车用光伏充电装置及其充电方法,通过设置车载光伏充电机构,避免了充电位置固定导致的充电受限的问题,同时设置折叠式光伏组件,可在熄火后展开,增大了光伏利用率,在点火后折叠,减少了对行驶过程中的影响。
