The vertical lifting aircraft comprises a driving device, a differential transmission device, a transmission shaft, a brake device, a controller, a first rotating speed sensor and a plurality of lift fans, the driving device and the differential transmission device are connected through a transmission shaft, and the differential transmission device and the lift fan are connected through a transmission shaft. The brake device is arranged on the lift fan; the controller is electrically connected with the brake device and the first rotating speed sensor. The first rotating speed sensor is used for collecting the rotating speed of the lift fan, and if the rotating speed of the lift fan is larger than or equal to the preset speed, the controller is used for controlling the brake device to brake the lift fan. The vertical lifting aircraft and the control method provided by the invention are applied to the aircraft.
