The invention relates to the technical field of bridge monitoring, in particular to a bridge health monitoring method which comprises the steps that an unmanned aerial vehicle runs along an initial running path in a conventional state, a passed area is marked as a monitored area, whether cracks appear in the monitoring range of the unmanned aerial vehicle or not is judged, and if yes, the unmanned aerial vehicle is started; the moving trajectory, the moving speed and the moving height of the unmanned aerial vehicle are determined according to whether the endpoint of the crack appears in the monitoring range of the unmanned aerial vehicle, so that on one hand, the crack can be detected in a targeted manner, and different flight speeds and flight heights can be adopted according to the spreading condition of the crack; and on the other hand, cracks at the bottom of the bridge can be comprehensively detected, missing detection and repeated detection are avoided, and the monitoring efficiency of the unmanned aerial vehicle is ensured.
