The invention discloses a stability augmentation control strategy based on a wind-wave combined unit, and belongs to the field of ocean energy utilization. Aiming at the problems of improving stability and wind wave resistance of a large floating type offshore wind turbine in the prior art, dimension reduction and decoupling are carried out on a wave field by utilizing a dynamic mode decomposition algorithm, and a dominant wave mode is extracted in an optimal interval of relative movement of a floating body and is used for constructing an order reduction model; and finally, predicting the wave dynamics based on the development trend of each modal component in the reduced-order model. And locking and releasing the floating body under a proper wave surface condition according to the motion response of the platform so as to timely obtain energy or adjust the attitude of the unit.
