The invention discloses a geostationary orbit satellite midnight sunlight avoidance method giving consideration to effective imaging, which not only can ensure that sunlight does not enter a beveled light shield, but also can ensure that the imaging quality of a satellite camera meets service requirements during midnight sunlight avoidance, reduces the single-day detection blind time of a satellite to a minute level, and improves the detection efficiency. And meanwhile, the midnight sunlight avoids the camera optical axis and automatically recovers to point to the earth center. Three evasion strategies are designed according to the change of the included angle between the sun vector and the satellite orbit plane in one year, the evasion trajectory is optimized, and the coverage degree of a key observation area is improved.
